Your skincare products may be harmful!

There are thousands of pores on every square inch of skin, acting as a thousand open mouths, absorbing that which is applied to the skin directly into the bloodstream and lymphatic system. Unlike foods, toxins absorbed through the skin bypass the organism’s natural defense mechanisms. Recent studies have shown that we may actually acquire more toxins through skin absorption than through the foods we eat, this is especially true due to the lack of regulations banning synthetic chemicals from skin care products. Have you seen the testofuel reviews? If you have seen it then you would know what you are not missing and if not, not only your face, your skin, the quality of your muscles are in danger, do not wait any longer!

As the largest organ in the body, skin has a fundamental impact on the immune system and metabolic functioning. Restricting exposure to toxic synthetics and cleansing harmful substances out of the body will set you on the path to recovering good health and longevity.

If you suffer from autoimmune disease, it is VERY important that you clean up your body, hair and skincare routine. Please read the ingredients in your products! rule of thumb is- if you can not pronounce the ingredients do not use them.

We are happy to make proper recommendations for cleaner skin, body, and hair care!

The key to maintaining your skin health is to have an ideal weight. The fat makes you greasy and your skin becomes very ugly. Only by being healthy and at your ideal weight can you have beautiful skin. That’s why eat healthy, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and fish all fresh and good. In addition to this you must consume Exipure, that will really help you get the body of your dreams, all the girls and boys will chase you for your secret to lose weight.

Be kind to YOURSELF!

Imagine that you had someone with you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and that person were unable to leave your side–ever.

Now, imagine that you had to speak to that person all day, every  day, without pause. They could not respond and all they could do was listen.  Now, what if the majority of what you said to this person was negative? What  would happen if the main things that they heard were;  they were not good enough, strong enough, thin  enough, smart enough, pretty enough or successful enough?

And, when you did not spend that time hurling insults at them, you  would be insulting, criticizing and judging others? What do you think would  happen to this individual after a period of being exposed to a constant barrage
of negativity? They would more than likely become depressed, anxious, dejected  and would probably start to look awful and over a period of time, become ill,  right? No one could sustain a steady stream of negativity and survive
unscathed, right?

Here is the crazy thing about the above mentioned scenario…That person that is with you 24/7, is YOU!  We ARE that person with whom we are always having a constant conversation. No matter what we are doing physically,
we are in communication with ourselves, with our bodies – while it is not “spoken” communication; it is in the form of thoughts.

Sadly, most of the things we tell ourselves are not so positive. Think about that for a moment. Reflect on what you spend your time thinking  about majority of the day, every day. What do you think to yourself when you catch a glimpse of your body in the mirror? What do you tell yourself when things are not going exactly as you had planned?

We tend to feed ourselves a steady diet of self deprecation, without even realizing it. This can, over time, significantly affect our health and appearance. If we are to live the life that we fully deserve, we must tune into the conversation in our heads and re-word and replace self deprecating thoughts with those of a more positive, uplifting nature. This can significantly improve our lives, our health and ultimately, our appearance!

“When you’re good to yourself, you’re actually being good to everyone
around you because when you feel good, you’ll only react well to other people.
At the same time, it’s very easy for you to do things for other people when you
know that other people are just an extension of yourself.”
– Anita Moorjani

Yes, it will  feel totally odd and goofy at first, but if you stick to it, you will start to  feel so much better.

When you  awake in the morning, look into the mirror. Look into your own eyes (again, I  know this seems so cliché) tell yourself 5 things that you like about YOU and your life.  Just 5 things (if you can’t  think of 5 things, then you KNOW this exercise is for YOU, you need this!).  Tell yourself these 5 things genuinely. Resist the urge to focus on the things  you don’t like! Remember that you are speaking to the most important person in  your life!

The road to “Happiness”

Ohh, the endless search for “happiness”. Why is it so very elusive, this “happiness”? Why do others seem to have “it” and I do not? When will it find me? Oh, if only i were thinner or prettier or richer or finally found my soul mate…..then I would be happy! right?.

I think the reason that this coveted “happiness” is so very elusive, is because it does not really exist! Not in the way we think it does. It never arrives in the form of tangible things. It never appears in the form of a person or a place. You can posses all the riches in the world, you could have traveled the globe, married the most attractive person that has ever lived, and still be a miserable S.O.B. 🙂

Unless or until, you take the journey into your inner sanctum, your soul, and find what is hidden there and who YOU really are, nothing will satisfy you. Allow yourself the privilege of getting to know yourself, get out of your own way. Let go of the past, learn from it. Stop fretting about the future, embrace the mystery of it. Be present in your life, live each day with purpose(there is purpose in everything we do). Live with gratitude, see your glass as not only half full, but positively spilling over. Stop comparing yourself to your friends, siblings, neighbors, celebrities or whomever you view as “having it better”. No one “has it better” just ask. Everyone has a story, everyone is fighting some sort of battle.

There is only one person in the entire world that could make YOU happy…..and that person, my friends, is YOU!. Look to yourself, you will find what you need! Remember that “happiness” is a relative term. It means something different to each of us, one man's happiness can be another man's hell. So stop trying to chase an idea of happiness that only exists in someone else's mind. Look inside, get rid of what no longer serves you, and fill up on the things that do. Once you do this, “happiness” abounds.

Managing dry skin..

South Tampa Skincare Blog for November-

How to manage dry skin during the winter months and beyond…

Dry skin can be very uncomfortable and drive you mad.  It feels tight, it  peels, flakes and in some cases cracks(which if left unattended can lead to infection). So who wants itchy, tight, flaky, infected skin? No one, that’s who!

So, how do we prevent or repair dry skin? First we start by identifying the causes. First offender is usually a change in weather, i.e. from hot to cold. When there is less moisture in the air, the skin suffers. We usually also crank up the heat indoors, which compounds the problem and dries skin out even more. It’s a good idea to have a humidifier plugged in at home, and if possible, work. This will reintroduce moisture into your environment.  It is also wise for sufferers of dry skin to limit their long, hot showers in the mornings or evenings. Even though a long, hot shower feels super awesome, it’s bad news for the skin because it strips the moisture barrier( the natural oil that protects the skin). What you do in the shower also matters, using harsh cleansers, scrubs and loofahs does nothing to help improve a dry skin condition.  You must treat dry skin with a gentle hand and NO chemical ingredients.  Use a mild, chemical free cleanser and use gentle massage strokes to apply your cleansers. Aggressively scrubbing the skin will further irritate and strip the skin, causing a viscous cycle.  Make sure that you apply a hydrator as soon as you exit the shower(towel off lightly, keeping the skin somewhat moist) again, make sure whatever you are using is chemical and dye free.

Raw coconut oil makes an amazing dry skin moisturizer. It can also heal cracked skin and repair the lipid barrier. When I say coconut oil, I do not mean coconut scented oil! I mean raw coconut oil that one would use to cook with. It has virtually no scent and is very emollient and has been shown to repair and heal the skin. You may not want to use coconut oil as your permanent form of hydration, but if the situation is extreme, it can be very helpful.

In my opinion, the skin is the window to your over all health. Often times if we are plagued by a chronic condition, there is an internal reason. Dry skin can sometimes be caused by prolonged illness, medication use, improper diet or emotional upset. So it is important to take these factors into consideration when analyzing your dry and itchy skin. If you notice a change in your skin after starting any new regimen(internal or external) consult your health care provider, as there may be an aggravating factor involved.

What can you eat to improve dry skin?

Foods high in omega-3s like salmon, tuna, and trout. If fish isn’t your thing, look for flax-seed, avocado, and walnuts.

If skin is dehydrated and cracked, look to dishes containing zinc. Oysters, crab, legumes, spinach.

Foods rich in vitamin A are also helpful, such as butternut squash and pumpkins

Foods rich in Vitamin E- such as broccoli, seeds, nuts and leafy greens

H2O also known as water ;). Excellent not only for hydration but for removing any free floating toxins!

Receiving professional skincare treatments can also be very beneficial. Schedule your treatment soon and together we can attempt to figure out what is causing your condition and start a plan to resolve it!
